Encouraged by the inspiring Marie Forleo, champion of heart centered entrepreneurship, I set myself the challenge of building my own website using all the free resources available on the Internet. Daunted and intimidated don’t even begin to describe how I felt but with my new best buddies, Google and YouTube, I started having a lot of fun. There is nothing like stepping outside your comfort zone to make you feel alive!
I am completely blown away by the generosity of strangers, no make that the generosity of spirit, that exists out there in www.land. It has been a firsthand experience of being part of the collective community that is at the heart of The Stamp Collective. I love the fact that the genesis of The Stamp Collective has been a lesson in sharing, learning and the desire to help others.
Spending time in the company of people who are generous of spirit is a tonic. It lifts my spirits, puts a smile on my face and reaffirms my faith in humankind. I always feel that anything is possible after hanging out with them.
So a big shout out to my new best friends (the fact that they have no idea who I am is immaterial)
- Marie Forleo for her weekly vlogs that drop into my inbox each Tuesday.
- Tyler Moore for his YouTube videos on how to create your own WordPress website.
- Belinda Weaver from Copywrite Matters for her e-book on effective copy writing.
- David Norton from Verv Creations for his encouragement and support (and yes I do know him)
……and the fact that the hyperlinks are missing means I have to go back to Tyler Moore’s e-book and work out how to do it.
